Breakfast "on the Rich" Porcelain Taiwan P.28,59

During the Qing Dynasty, Taiwan already had a fairly well-developed ceramics industry. Pottery traditions practiced in Taiwan during the Qing Dynasty included methods adopted from Fuzhou, Quanzhou and Zhangzhou, such as molding bricks and roof tiles in wooden molds, which were then fired in circular kilns, or using the potter's wheel and traditional vessel-forming techniques to shape objects for firing in tunnel kilns.

Songfu Pottery Factory

Taiwan, specializing in the production of 18th-century porcelain products. Their expertise in kiln firing and artisan painting techniques made them a leading factory in the industry. For a long time, they were a significant supplier to many downstream customers and were waiting for orders.

I distinctly remember that many years ago at the Canton Fair about half of the exhibitors in the gift section came from Jiangsu/Nanjing, and many of the booths sold various kinds of porcelain works of art.
