A modern canteen has the form of a container-bottle with a flattened shape made of a durable rigid material (e.g. aluminum, steel, plastic). It is equipped with a closure (usually in the form of a tight cap), straps or another type of fastening allowing it to be attached to a belt and often a cover.
However, throughout their history they appeared in various construction forms, an example of such a form is: Brass canteen plated with silver - bearing the coat of arms of the "Tsar's Eagle" a unique item dated to the 19th century.
Absolutely unique find, a treat for a collector!
