The presented pattern is a real treat for collectors. All restaurants on the Titanic ship were equipped with Pirkenhammer tableware with the brand's characteristic hammers

The Březová Porcelain Manufactory (German: Pirkenhammer or Pirken-Hammer) near Karlovy Vary was founded by Thuringian merchant Friedrich Höcke in 1803, making it one of the oldest Czech porcelain factories.

Like other Czech porcelain factories, it received privileges for porcelain production with a significant delay, in this case in 1822, when the factory was already owned by Johann Martin Fischer and Christian Reichenbach.

In 1829, Březová was the first factory in the Czech Republic to be allowed to decorate with copperplate engraving. In the 1820s and 1830s, the Březová porcelain factory experienced significant development, gaining popularity thanks to its collaboration with successful painters.

After the death of Martin Fischer, his son Christian Gottlieb took over the management of the company. In 1846, he became the sole owner after Christian Reichenbach retired. However, seven years later he handed the porcelain factory to his son-in-law Ludvík von Mieg.

In 1912, the porcelain factory made perhaps its most famous contract with the British company that supplied the Titanic. All restaurants on board the ship were equipped with Pirkenhammer tableware with the brand's characteristic hammers, produced in Březová. As is widely known, the ship carrying over two thousand passengers on its famous voyage to New York sank after colliding with an iceberg.
